Sounds like you learned some important things, great post. My big thing that I learned is that it takes a lot of effort to get back into shape when you have done nothing but treat your body like crap for the past 5 years. What you said in number 3 is hindering my getting what you said in number 1 and 9, can’t wait to change that and see what new things I learn in 2010!
great job on the site
10 Things I learned in 2009
Wow, it’s 2010. A new century. Geez where does the time go? I was talking to a buddy of mine recently and he asked me what I learned this past year. So here is 10 things I learned this past year. Yes EVEN I can learn a few things. Check these out. Feel free to tell me what you learned in the comments below.
1. Sleep is more essential than you can believe for your body to function and combat stress. I had a few experiences this year that sleep sure helped me feel better.

2. Taking a food tolerance test through my Naturopath Doc was one of the best decisions I could have ever made to determine what foods compliment me as an individual… more on that later from another post!
3. Trust, Respect and Communication are 3 important factors for any relationship to be successful…
4. Teaching and impacting people’s lives is one of my biggest personal motivations in life. Let’s be real here, I am doing all this for you. As cheesy as it sounds, that’s my deciding factor with my Overhaul Your Body Programs.
5. I LOVE golf even though I’m not very good at it. The game keeps you honest, while it’s a great opportunity to enjoy our beautiful earth with family friends and collegues, or loved ones. Now… I understand we like to ride in the golf carts, but if I catch you riding the cart more than you should….. beware!

6. Live for the moment. The most important thing that is happening is THIS MOMENT NOW! A lesson I learned from “A New Earth” by Eckhart Tolle. Seriously go buy this book after you buy mine!

7. Everything that happens to us whether good or bad can strengthen our character to a new level if we can see the application, lesson and relevance. Have the strength to bless all situations as they can teach us.
8. Lifting weights after 16 years is still my favorite thing to do when I need to turn life off for a bit and feel like I can take ANYTHING on when I’m done.

9. We live in a busy society, so take some time for yourself to reflect, relax and do something you enjoy every day.
10. Life is AMAZING. It’s what you make of it. Good and bad things will happen. Live and learn. Appreciate everything that happens. And… stop the excuses. Live life folks!
